Ginnie Madsen – The Brinton 101
“Most of my work in the past years has been made using a subtractive relief print making method. Ideas for the work usually comes from observations or recollections of things I have seen. Creating a piece somehow gives me a way to hold on to those recollections. With the works in this show I am especially interested in weather, cold or windy in an undisturbed natural landscape. Born in Chicago, I moved to the West, Laramie, WY is home now. I had the opportunity to teach drawing, print making, and sculpture at the University of Wyoming and am now retired.
