2024 Bighorn Rendezvous – Jacqueline Jones

Jacqueline Jones, is a nationally recognized landscape and seascape painter who finds her inspiration in painting oils in plein air. Jackie earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in painting from the Lyme Academy College of Fine Art as well as an Associate Degree in Advertising Design at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Her love of Plein air painting and travel takes her to many locations in the United States and abroad. She has participated in Telluride Plein Air, Painter’s on Location in Knoxville, TN and Hudson Valley Plein Air. The recipient of numerous awards including “1st Prize for Outstanding Work” 2017, 2nd place in the Nautical Exhibition 2018 at the Salmagundi Club in NYC and Peoples Choice Award from The Brinton Museum, Big Horn, Wyoming in September 2020.
She is honored to have The Brinton Museum acquire a painting for their permanent collection. In the winter months, she works in the studio, painting larger pieces inspired by her plein air studies. Jackie has followed her passion to teach, conducting workshops and art demonstrations throughout the US and internationally.
Her professional memberships and affiliations include American Artists Professional League, American Woman Artists, American Society of Marine Artists Signature Member, Northshore Arts Association, Oil Painters of America, Rockport Art Association & Museum, and the Salmagundi Club in NYC. Jackie is also an elected Rockport Art Association and Museum Board Member.
