2024 Small Works Show artist June Klement

June Klement, born in Knoxville, Tennessee, and now living in Augusta, Georgia, translates her emotional responses to urban and natural environments into paint. Her impressionistic style, known for its vibrant and bold brushstrokes, captures the fleeting nature of color and light.

She enjoys both studio painting and en plein air, with the latter allowing her to convey the ever-changing nuances of outdoor light and feeling. After a career and raising a family, Klement returned to painting to express beauty, joy, and love.

An award-winning artist, Klement’s work has been shown in galleries and museums across the United States. She is a member of several art organizations, including the American Impressionist Society and the Oil Painters of America.
