“First I carefully compose a design structure then I strive to express an emotionally rich and quirky sense of color and pattern. My aim is rhythmic visual poetry and no matter the subject something of beauty. I am attracted to the transparent quality of water media, the interpretive and symbolic nature of drawing, and the enlivening energy of pattern.
I am indebted to the generous spirits of mentors, teachers, authors, the old masters, art organizations, and my cherished patrons.“
