“Deer 139” follows University of Wyoming research scientist Sam Dwinnell and two friends as they hike, ski, and packraft a mule deer’s migration path for 85 miles through western Wyoming and learn to see the world differently in the process.

The Monteith Shop and the Ruckelshaus Institute, both within the Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Wyoming, produced the film as part of their mission to communicate new scientific understanding to broad audiences.
