BIG HORN, Wyo (August 25, 2016) The Brinton Museum presents its 4th annual Small Works Show this September, featuring more than 300 works of art by 152 artists from 26 states across the U.S. This exhibit is an all-media invitational that includes affordable, exceptional paintings, sculptures and mixed media pieces in a wide variety of themes.

The Small Works Show opens in the Forrest E. Mars, Jr. Building’s third floor Jacomien Mars Reception Gallery with a members preview reception and meet-the-artists event Saturday, September 10th, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The exhibit remains on view for members and guests from September 11 through October 16.

While sizes vary, each artist was asked to create works close to an 8” x 10” configuration and will present anywhere from one to two pieces of art each. Some noted artists include Skip Whitcomb (Fort Collins, CO), Dan Ostermiller (Loveland, CO), Winifred Godfrey (Chicago), T.Allen Lawson (Rockport, ME), Doug Hall (Pineville, MO), Michael Godfrey (Glenn Dale, MD), Glenn Grishkoff (Anaheim, CA) and Jhon Duane Goes In Center (Pine Ridge, SD).

“The core value of the show is to expand our collective appreciation for new and known artists, and the significance of small works in the art world,” said director and chief curator Ken Schuster. “It’s also an excellent way for new and seasoned collectors to purchase original art at a more affordable price.”
