Paul Waldum, a native of Livingston, Montana, developed an appreciation for nature as a boy while hiking and climbing mountains near his hometown. The memories of those adventures left lasting sketches in his mind. Waldum’s paintings have appeared at the Brinton Museum, Big Horn, Wyoming; the Yellowstone Art Museum Invitational, Billings, Montana; the Nicholaysen Art Museum, Casper, Wyoming; and the C.M. Russell Museum, Great Falls, Montana. Waldum received the Wells Fargo Gold Award at the 2012 Buffalo Bill Art Show and Sale, Cody, Wyoming. In 2018, Paul had a one-person show at the Brinton Museum. Also, in 2018, Paul donated a 60″ x 96″ oil painting of the Missouri River for the new Nonn Asbjomson Hall at Montana State University.

I always look forward to painting outdoors during autumn and winter. The three small images in the 2020 Brinton 101 Miniature Show reflect different moods, hues, and tranquil moments painted during these seasons.” Paul Waldum
