I like to have a simple story in my paintings. Whether a painting depicts a cowboy at the end of a long day’s work, or wildlife and the wonderful beauty of their natural environment, I try to create a mood that will invite the viewer to take in the scene and perhaps finish the story in their own mind. If they can identify with the mood or scene, then I have been successful as an artist.” Steve Devenyns
