THE BRINTON MUSEUM (Big Horn, WY) presents an exhibition of contemporary art by the award-winning Northern Arapaho artist and 2019 Governor’s Arts Award recipient Robert Martinez from Riverton, Wyoming. Featured in a one-person show of his paintings and drawings, Martinez was born on the Wind River Reservation and attended Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1997. He has participated as an exhibiting artist in “The Brinton 101” small works shows since 2018 and is represented in the museum’s permanent collection. Robert is a founding member of the Creative Indigenous Collective which is comprised of artists from Northern Plains tribes who exhibit contemporary indigenous art.
