Tom Blaue
Tom Blaue is a native of Colorado and currently lives and works from his home in Estes Park. Early in his career as a free-lance artist, Tom illustrated books and field guides for Yosemite, Kings Canyon, Zion, and Rocky Mountain National Parks. During this same time he and his wife started Cold Mountain Press which published limited edition wildlife prints from his original drawings. Tom has also been a featured artist for the Nature Conservancy and the National Audubon Society. Over the years his artwork has been exhibited in fine art galleries throughout the Western United States.
Tom uses a variety of media to create his images, including watercolor and egg tempera painting, pencil and silverpoint drawings, intaglio printmaking and wood sculpture. In addition to his involvement with the fine arts, Tom has been engaged as a water resource manager and a builder of bamboo fly fishing rods. His nature-based work frequently reflects his deep attraction to the free-flowing wild streams of his native Colorado.
