Artist in Residence: Gallery Talk & Demonstration with Maeve Eichelberger
Join The Brinton Museum for a special gallery talk and artist demonstration with Colorado artist Maeve Eichelberger. Known for her innovative three-dimensional collages, Eichelberger combines photography, drawing, and layers of transparent Plexiglas to create artwork that explores the landscapes, lifestyles, and traditions of the American West.
Raised on a ranch in southern Colorado, Eichelberger draws inspiration from both rural and urban environments. Her distinctive approach to collage uses transparency and overlapping imagery to explore memory, place, and the changing character of the West. Through her work, she invites viewers to experience familiar subjects from multiple perspectives.
During this special program, Eichelberger will discuss her artistic process, share the inspiration behind her work, and demonstrate the techniques and materials she uses to create her layered compositions.
Eichelberger holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Regis University and a Master of Fine Arts from Miami International University of Art and Design. Her work has been exhibited nationally, including at the Coors Western Art Show, the Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale, and Cowgirl Up! Her artwork has also been acquired by the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame and the Booth Western Art Museum.
Join us for an opportunity to meet the artist and discover a contemporary approach to interpreting the American West.
