Winter Wonder: Snow Scenes from The Brinton Museum Collection

February 4 - March 21

Winter transforms the familiar landscapes of the American West, revealing a world of quiet beauty, shifting colors, and dramatic contrasts.

Winter Wonder brings together artworks from The Brinton Museum’s permanent collection that capture the many moods of the season. From peaceful, snow-covered landscapes to familiar scenes of homes, roads, and everyday life, these works explore how artists have interpreted winter’s distinctive light, color, and atmosphere.

Featuring artists from the Rocky Mountain and Midwest regions, the exhibition spans the early twentieth century to the present. Together, these works reflect the enduring relationship between people and the land, offering glimpses of the landscapes, communities, and changing seasons that have shaped life in the American West.

On view in the Northern Trust Gallery, Winter Wonder invites visitors to discover the beauty and variety of winter through the eyes of artists who know the season well.
