“Inspiring a closer connection with wildlife and the animal world is what I hope my work brings to people. If I can spark a little curiosity in the viewer through my work, I feel it has succeeded.”

Dan attended Colorado State University and Minneapolis College of Art and Design. He has traveled from Alaska to the Antarctic in pursuit of his subjects and the wilderness in which they live. He lived and worked with the Smithsonian in the rainforests of Panama, sailed and climbed volcanoes in the Galapagos Islands and watched many a sunrise in East Africa.

Dan is a Signature member of the Society of Animal Artists, an elected member of the National Sculpture Society and a fellow with the National Sculptors Guild.
