2024 Small Works Show artist Paulette Kucera

Mother Nature is an awesome artist and I am often spellbound by how she lays light on a landscape. I don’t have to travel far to find beauty. When the light is just right, the field behind my house or the view down the street make me want to set up my easel to capture a scene that inspires me and I want to share that inspiration with others.

Although I’ve worked in other mediums, I am currently focusing on oils for my attempts to capture the light. Every painting is a new learning experience that brings me joy.
