July 15 @ 10:00 am - July 17 @ 3:00 pm

The 2025 Summer Art Camp at The Brinton Museum offers three days of creativity, exploration, and fun for ages 9–12, with lunch and materials included.

Fossil & Field Sketches with Hope Christofferson

Dig into the world of paleontology with artist and illustrator Hope Christofferson! Kids will go hands-on nature hikes and learn how to draw and document their discoveries just like real field researchers. Inspired by nature and fairy tales, Hope guides students through the art of observation and storytelling using watercolor and traditional tools.

Paper Marbling & Book Making with Katie B.H. Wolff

Get creative with color and texture in this vibrant workshop! Students will explore paper marbling using shaving cream and watercolor, then turn their prints into handmade books: a star-shaped “explosion” book and a sketchbook with a marbled cover. It’s a playful mix of printmaking, book arts, and color theory.

Nature Brushes & Forest Paintings with Sophia Clarke

In this outdoor adventure, students will collect natural materials like moss, bark, and sticks to craft their own paintbrushes. Students will use these handmade tools to paint with watercolor, creating layered, nature-inspired artworks. It’s all about observing, experimenting, and connecting deeply with the world around us.
