In the studio with Ernie WoodA one-time painter, printmaker and architecture student turned art and architecture journalist turned nonfiction book author, advertising copywriter, documentary scriptwriter and novelist returns to his printmaking roots. A native of North Carolina residing in Austin, TX for the past 36 years, Ernie works principally in relief woodblock and linocut using the reduction technique.

He has studied printmaking at North Carolina State University (Raleigh), where he also did graduate work in architecture; Art School at Laguna Gloria (Austin)l; Flatbed Press, (Austin); and Austin Community College, which has purchased his work for its permanent collection. Ernie has worked as an art columnist/critic for newspapers in New Jersey and North Carolina, editor of North Carolina Architect magazine and Design Editor of Southern Living magazine.
