Nature Trails and Hunt for the Horned Toad will Saturday, May 6th and remain open until the fall. The trails are OPEN during museum hours. Please abide by all signage for your safety and the maintenance of the trails.

Hunt For The Horned Toad

The Hunt for the Horned Toad is an interactive scavenger hunt around the property of the Quarter Circle A Ranch. Ten bronze sculptures of a Horned Toad by artist Tony Hochstetler comprise the scavenger hunt. Nine of the Toad sculptures are located on the grounds of the Quarter Circle A Ranch for visitors to The Brinton Museum to find.

Brinton Nature Trail

Brinton Nature Trail is an easy, 0.7-mile, walking trail that follows The Brinton Driveway from the parking lot, north under the lane of cottonwood trees, and turns east toward Trabing Creek. Visitors will walk along a mowed grassy path with interpretive signage describing the wildlife that can be observed in the area.

This trail is closed to mountain biking, motorized vehicles, and dogs.

Quarter Circle A Nature Trail

The Quarter Circle A Nature Trail is a primitive 2.4-mile hiking trail intended for wildlife viewing, allowing visitors to experience the beauty of the Quarter Circle A property.

The Quarter Circle A Nature Trail will open Saturday, May 6th and remain open until the  fall. Please call 307-672-3173 to check trail conditions in spring and fall.
