Birds of the Rocky Mountain Region is a juried invitational exhibit comprised of 40 pieces on the subject of bird species found in the Rocky Mountain region. A color-illustrated catalog will be published to accompany this event and will include biographical information on participating artists as well as educational commentary about birds represented in this exhibit.
An educational lecture on conservation activist George Bird Grinnell (1849-1938), presented by nationally-known journalist John Taliaferro, a graduate of Harvard College and former senior editor at Newsweek, is scheduled for June 9.
Birds of the Rocky Mountain Region and the John Taliaferro lecture program are made possible by the generous support of Carol and Sam Mavrakis, The Seidler Foundation; Kay Wallick and D J Purcell; and Fort Phil Kearny/Bozeman Trail Association.
Reception featuring hors d’oeuvres and cash bar May 4th at 5 p.m.
