August 30 - December 23

An opening reception for the colorful new exhibition Weaving Beauty: Diné (Navajo) Textiles will take place on August 30, 5:00 – 7:00 PM at The Brinton Museum.

Selections from the collection of Diné weavings assembled by Bradford and Helen Brinton will be on display in the second floor hallways. A brief history of Diné weaving will be included in the exhibit, along with an example of a miniature vertical loom and a drop spindle. Come see the precision in the designs and the simple, portable tools that made these beautiful textiles.

The exhibit is possible through funding from the Irwin Wilson Family Foundation and runs through the end of the year.
