“Exquisite Art in an Ideal Setting.
From “Fight on the Little Bighorn” to “Assiniboin Woman and Child,” the Ted and Katie Meredith Gallery of Western Art brings together the Bradford Brinton Memorial’s best original pieces augmented by valuable individual acquisitions, and generous gifts of Brinton Museum patrons. Highlights include watercolors by Charles M. Russell, oils by Frederic Remington, and outstanding works by Thomas Moran, John Mix Stanley, Karl Bodmer, W.H.D. Koerner and many others. Monotypes and drawings by Edward Borein (including a frieze on loan from the Beuf Family which once graced the Gallatin Family home), numerous works by Hans Kleiber and Bill Gollings and the complete set of Winold Reiss Blackfeet Indian Portraits complete the exhibition.
Selections from the Permanent Collections are on exhibit throughout the year.
